Meadow flower honey is the most commonly harvested honey in Latvian apiaries and is produced in the largest quantities.
Its colour can range from very pale yellow to dark, depending on the plants from which the bees have collected nectar, the season and the region.
The rate and form of honey crystallisation (commonly known as “sugaring”) depend on the flowers the bees have visited, the honey’s moisture content and other factors.
